SPONSOR  A  CHILD FROM THE "NEST"

In 2006, we began a new program, “Sponsor a child.”  We are so grateful to the many of you who have faithfully given to this program which helps us to provide board and room for our children.   For only 50 cents a day or $20 a month, you can help the children of Robin’s Nest.  If you desire to be a part of this program or want more information, please fill in the area concerning it on the gift form (click here for the sponsor form).  You are free to choose any of the children listed on the Children's Page.  We are so grateful to have Cindy Anderson now handling the sponsor a child program, so please contact her at canderson12@marykay.com.

Please note:  We would like to do this program primarily by e-mail and automatic deduction.
However, if you are unable to do this, please do not hesitate to sign up.

YOUR CHRISTMAS GIFT TO THE NEST DOUBLED

We are very grateful to those of you who supported Robin’s Nest on “Give to the Max Day” through GiveMN.  We raised $24,000 which is a start to getting us back on track.  Over $14 million was raised that day.  The matching funds will be minimal but every dollar helps, and we are still very grateful.

Are you ready for the next BIG news?  When a donor saw the news about matching funds for GiveMN, he and his family decided to match any donations in December dollar for dollar up to $20,000.  We pray that many of you will respond to this matching fund drive.  December is the month that the most donations come in and we need your help now in order to continue to provide the care for the children of Jamaica at our present level.  Go to the Gifting Form or click the “donate now” button below to give by credit card.  The donations are safe and secure.

Would you like to make a donation to Robin's Nest?

All money is wired directly to Jamaica.  Please send to:

EMAIL UPDATES AVAILABLE

Since Robin's Nest is run by an all volunteer board here in the states, it is very hard to get newsletters out more than quarterly and sometimes we even fall behind in that.  We now have a way to update you more often by email as to when the web site changes or there are prayer requests or updates on the "Nest."  If you would like to be part of this, it does save us money and time, please email Paula at salem@alliancecom.net and she will add your name to our email list.

ROBIN'S NEST T-SHIRTS AVAILABLE

Red t-shirts with Robin's Nest written on them and a picture of a Robin in a nest with her little ones are available from Paula Merkouris, board member.  They need to be pre-ordered at salem@alliancecom.net.  A suggested donation of $10 for child sizes, $12 for adults and $15 for XXL and up.  Please contact Paula if you would like to order one.  You can see them being worn by the children on the "Children's page."

ATTENTION TEAMS
INTERESTED IN SERVING

Please follow this procedure when inquiring about serving at the Nest:

  • Contact Kris Killian @ k.killian@att.net   She will forward a trip packet to you for your response.
  • Kris will inform Kim Ellenbecker, US Trip Director, of your interest, and Kim will contact you to discuss if your dates of interest are open on the team calendar.
  • As described in the trip packet, a “per person” deposit is necessary to hold your space on the team calendar; team calendar dates are first come first serve, so getting deposits in ASAP is necessary to guarantee your team’s service dates.  All deposits and final payments should be mailed to Kim's address in Stillwater as specified in the trip packet.
  • Confirm/book airfare and/or lodging with Kim or through alternative means.

A Robins Nest Gift Idea

Instead of buying birthday present for friends and family this year, consider giving a donation to Robin's Nest in their name. Contributions to Robin's Nest can also be done as a memorial. We will send a card to the person you wish telling them of your gift, memorial, or honorarium.  “Sponsor a child” started in 2006 and we are so grateful to the many of you who have faithfully given to this program which helps us to provide board and room for our children.   For only 50 cents a day or $20 a month, you can help the children of Robin’s Nest.  If you desire to be a part of this program or want more information, please fill in the gift form (click here for the sponsor form).  You are free to choose any of the children listed on the Children's Page.  Cindy Anderson is the coordinator for this program, so please contact her at canderson12@marykay.com

Please note:  We would like to do this program primarily by e-mail and automatic deduction.  However, if you are unable to do this, please do not hesitate to sign up.   Sending a check is fine on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis and we can contact you by mail if you do not have e-mail.

(click here for the gifting form, or email Paula at salem@alliancecom.net with questions.)
